I purchased this sun shelter for a trip to Florida. The tent was compact enough to fit in my checked suitcase (about 23 inches long and 5-6lbs) This was a cheaper alternative to renting an umbrella and chairs each day. The tent comfortably fit two adults and all our beach gear :) Directions are sewn in to the drawstring carrying case that the tent comes in. The key is to assemble the rods and snap them into place (to create a straight rod) BEFORE inserting the rod into the tent. When assembled the rod will bend allowing you to slide it through the tent. Set up is easiest with two people - though one person could manage if it isn't too windy. The tent has pockets that you can fill with sand to weigh the tent down and also comes with stakes to give it added stability. I used the tent on a fairly windy day and it was secure. The vents in the middle portion of the tent allow for a nice breeze to blow through the tent - keeping the temperature inside the tent cool.

Great for the baby
The shelter was fairly easy to erect and did a good job of offering protection from the sun. We did not experience much in the way of wind, so I don't know how it would have held up under those conditions, but we were satisfied with the way it kept our baby granddaughter out of the sun. It was also easy to carry.
